FLEETWASH Can Protect Your Fleet from Rust and Corrosion

Chances are your fleet is traveling through some pretty rough conditions during winter months - sometimes traversing snow, ice, slush and all the salt and silt that comes with it. It may seem impossible to keep your trucks clean.

Regular undercarriage cleaning with our special formulated soaps will protect your fleet from the damaging effects of road salts, deicers, and more. Removing deicers and salts from the chassis and wiring of the underside of your trucks will extend the life of your vehicle and protect against corrosive rust build up not only to the truck frame but exhaust systems, mufflers and brake systems.

Road salt is often part of a sand mixture spread over roadways during ice and snowstorms. In the same way saltwater can oxidize metals, these ice preventatives can eat away at the paint and finish of the metal on your frame - even affecting galvanized steel if left to sit for  too long.  The electrical wiring throughout your truck cab is also vulnerable to corrosive properties of salt and water, if left long enough.

Undercarriages are Vulnerable - Don't Let Salt Build Up

How frequently should you wash the undercarriage of your fleet? That could depend on a few factors. If you frequently travel where the roads are constantly coated in salt, giving that white look to the pavement, you should wash your undercarriage every 2 weeks. If you are traveling during milder winter conditions, you can wait a little longer. Generally, in northern climates the recommended length of time is once a month to combat rust and extend the life of your fleet.

Not Just Any Wash Will Do

Frequency isn’t the only important factor - it’s important to power wash the undercarriage and surrounding areas properly with a soap that will remove all chemicals and silt build up. Special attention should be paid to the wheel wells where silt and grime can build up. FLEETWASH can help!

FLEETWASH field agents hand scrub then pressure-rinse the entire truck from hood to tail for a spot free finish. (Internal trailer washouts available as well).

FLEETWASH uses a patented "Mobile Undercarriage Wand" that completely encompasses the wheel, wheel wells and frame without the vehicle being on a lift.

FLEETWASH field agents apply soap and then rinse with powerful nozzles of the Undercarriage Wand.

FLEETWASH utilizes all biodegradable cleaning agents and degreasers in their cleaning process.

With FLEETWASH appointments are scheduled and confirmed at times that are convenient FOR YOU.

So don't delay, the longer salt, silt and grit sit - the more likely damage is being done. Schedule your cleaning today.

Getting you clean while keeping you GREEN

FLEETWASH started its washing operation in 1973. The need for a mobile service was evident in the quickly expanding transportation and distribution industry in the greater New York City area. Many spawning companies had growing truck fleets that all needed to be cleaned, and the original mobile truck washing idea took off and grew rapidly through the 70's and continued to grow into the 80's.
