Company Overview
Val-Chem Company, Inc. has been in existence since 1953. Originally the company
manufactured and marketed dishwashing supplies for commercial kitchens and powdered
laundry detergents. Over the years the product line expanded to include janitorial and car
wash chemicals.
The company manufactures chemicals in both liquid and dry forms. Powdered packaging is
available in various bag, box and drum sizes ranging from 10# boxes up to and including
400# drums. Liquid packaging ranges from quart bottles up to and including 55 gallon
drums.
Val-Chem is located in
northeastern Pennsylvania with manufacturing space covering 25,000 square feet and
warehousing covering another 75,000 square feet. A sister company, I.S.C.M., custom
manufactures, blends, packages and labels to meet a customer's needs. The Matey line of
products was developed specifically for Marine Supply distributors and Ship Chandlers.
For distribution, the
company maintains ICC rights for company owned tractor trailers. ICC broker rights allow
the company to hire outside trucking for any freight heading needed. |
